What to Expect
Hot tea, your favorite music on the speaker, clear direction and positive feedback from me the whole time. Relax, get into the flow, and have fun being yourself! A new visual identity is just a natural byproduct ;)
1. Lay it all out
We start by going through everything you brought — outfits, accessories — all of it laid out so we can plan together.
2. Pick backdrops
For Classic Sessions, we’ll choose a range of backdrops based on what you wear and what vibes you’re going for.
3. Shoot and check in
With the live preview system, you’ll see images as we go. Notice a pose that you feel most natural in? We’ll shoot more of that!
5. Freshen up
Use the changing room for make-up touch-ups, hairstyle changes, or a full outfit swap.
4. Switch it up
New backdrop, new look - so your gallery has range, not just 4 versions of the same photo.
6. Pick favorites
We go through all photos together and note retouching requests. Final photos land in your inbox within a week.

How I Work
Guiding Poses
I'm your safe guide through this, not just someone pointing a camera at you. Camera shy? Nervous? Most people are! I'll walk you through poses and expressions and make sure you feel at ease before I ever press the shutter.
Flattering Lighting
I create soft, flattering light with professional studio lighting common in editorial and advertising campaigns.
Attention to Detail
Years of editorial work means I notice the small stuff — a folded collar, a stray hair — and fix it before it ends up in your final photo.
Live Preview
With live preview, you'll see exactly what I'm seeing as we shoot. Like a pose? I'll shoot more of it. Something's off? I'll adjust right there. No black box, no surprises when the gallery lands in your inbox.
Natural Retouching
And when it comes to retouching, I have a light hand. I'll smooth what needs smoothing and leave the rest — your texture, your features, the things that make you look like you. I'm not in the business of enforcing one narrow idea of what beautiful looks like.

I love drawing inspiration from my hometown Xiamen Island as well as Chinese paintings and poems. I love playing with colors and I drink a lot of Mt. Wuyi cliff tea. I believe that every person is photogenic with the right photographer. People say that I can put them at ease within the first few minutes. I really appreciate things that are made with care :)
I run a full-service photography studio delivering headshots to tech companies, creative studios, and individuals. We strive for the headshots to showcase the company and brand culture as well as each person’s unique personality. Your headshots don’t have to be generic, and getting them taken doesn’t have to be awkward. We bring professionalism and authenticity, all while having more fun than you’d expect.
Our headshot sessions are relaxed and fun, full of color, creativity, and good energy. I left a software engineering job to start this studio, and I still can't quite believe I get to do this for a living.

Classic Session Q&A

Each session is up to 50 minutes total, with around 30 minutes of shooting time. Arriving on time and fully ready (makeup done if you plan to wear any) will give us the most shooting time.
You’re welcome to bring multiple looks. I recommend 1–2 outfits. If you want more variety, layers and accessories are great for quick changes without eating into shooting time too much.
If you plan to wear makeup, wear makeup that feels like you. I recommend arriving with makeup already done and bringing your kit for quick touch-ups.

You can purchase additional retouched images, as well as request Extensive Retouching for specific photos on shooting day.

We use professional seamless paper, commonly seen in editorial and advertising for its clean, consistent color. Optional Customization:
