Feminine and Masculine

BR wants two distinct looks.

We talked through what she needed on our discovery call before the shoot — headshots for her LinkedIn and personal site, and two distinct looks. One saying boss and professional, and one with personality. One with hair down, and one with hair up showing her undercut. One feminine and one masculine.

She came prepared with outfits for both.

For the professional look, she wore a light blue top with ruffles, hair down, against a warm beige background. For the second look, she wore a black tank top, hair up so her edgy undercut showed, against a deep blue background — a color she'd mentioned liking during our call.

She also mentioned, during that same call, that one side of her face doesn't move quite the same as the other when she smiles. She's rarely liked photos of herself before.

After the shoot, she emailed me that she used both photos on her personal website, toggled between light and dark mode.
